Diese Tradition wurde im 19. Jahrhundert fortgesetzt:<\/p>\n<p>1845: <strong>Baudelaire<\/strong> ver\u00f6ffentlichte seinen ersten Bericht \u00fcber den Salon, und das war erst der Anfang.<\/p>\n<p>1866: <strong>Zola<\/strong> sammelte die Kritiken, die er in <em>L'\u00c9v\u00e9nement<\/em> unter dem Titel '<em>Mon Salon<\/em>' ver\u00f6ffentlicht hatte, den er <strong>Paul C\u00e9zanne<\/strong> widmete.<\/p>\n<p>Die Presse spielte eine wichtige Rolle bei der Verteidigung kontroverser Maler: es wurden neue Kunstzeitschriften geschaffen, einige davon, wie <em>L'Artiste<\/em>, zogen renommierte Schriftsteller an, namentlich <strong>Champfleury, Baudelaire, Mallarm\u00e9, Gautier<\/strong> ...<\/p>\n<p>Eine andere neuere Idee wurde von bestimmten Autoren wie <strong>Baudelaire, Nerval, Rimbaud und Mallarm\u00e9<\/strong> unterst\u00fctzt. Warum sollten diese beiden Ereignisse getrennt sein? Sind nicht Kultur und Gesellschaft untrennbar, ja unzertrennlich, wie Kunst und Gesellschaft auf ewig getrennt sind?<br \/>\nF\u00fcr mich war das wichtigste kulturelle und zugleich wichtigste gesellschaftliche<br \/>\nEreignis des Jahres der Besuch, den ich allj\u00e4hrlich meiner Freundin, der Schnee-Eule, im hiesigen Zoo abstatte.<br \/>\nWas mich zu ihr treibt, sozusagen an ihren Hof-denn sie empf\u00e4ngt nicht immer und noch lange nicht jedermann- was mich zu ihr treibt: Sie ist so sch\u00f6n, so rein, so wild und klug. Auch k\u00fchn ist sie, wenn sie auch im Augenblick von ihrer K\u00fchn-<br \/>\nheit nicht viel Gebrauch machen kann: Was man als ihr Existenzminimum errechnet<br \/>\nhat, bekommt sie ans Gitter gebracht.<br \/>\nNun, wor\u00fcber unterhalten sich Schriftsteller mit Schnee-Eulen? Nat\u00fcrlich \u00fcber das nie zu ersch\u00f6pfende Thema Form und Inhalt. In diesem Jahr war unser Gespr\u00e4chsthema Form und Inhalt der Freiheit.<br \/>\nlch fragte die Schnee-Eule, ob man auch ihr, wie vielen Pelikanen und Kondoren, ein Freigehege angeboten habe. Sie sagte ja: das habe man, aber sie habe abgelehnt, sie z\u00f6ge den K\u00e4fig vor.<br \/>\nlch schwieg betroffen, kam mir wie so oft schon, wenn ich mit dieser reinen,<br \/>\nsch\u00f6nen, klugen, wilden Freundin mich unterhalte - ich kam mir sehr dumm vor.<br \/>\nHast du denn nicht gesehen, fragte sie mich, was mit den Pelikanen und Kondoren los ist ? Doch, sagte ich, ich sah, wie sie ihre herrlichen Fl\u00fcgel spreizten und schwangen, ihre majest\u00e4tische Pracht ausbreiteten.<br \/>\nUnd hast du, fragte meine Freundin, die Schnee-Eule, hast du denn gesehen, da\u00df sie davongeflogen sind? Die Formen sind nur angedeutet und umrissartig erkennbar, erst aus einiger Entfernung schlie\u00dfen sich die unvermischten Farbt\u00fcpfelchen auf der Netzhaut des Betrachters zusammen.<br \/>\nWie die Note ein abstraktes Zeichen f\u00fcr einen akustischen Ton darstellt, so wird der Bildpunkt auf der Leinwand zu einem Zeichen f\u00fcr einen visuellen Reiz.
